Tembua® uses CAT (computer-assisted translation) tools to create translation memories for each of our clients.
As the teams work on a new document, the software suggests translations that have already been used. These wonderful tools allow the linguists to translate much more rapidly while maintaining consistent vocabulary. The software allows linguists to focus on the truly creative work of translation rather than re-translating warranties and warning labels. The result is much smoother translations in less time. And, of course, there are cost savings because the matches against the translation memory are charged at lower rates. |
These special software programs provide the perfect blend of technology and human talent. Once our teams complete a translation, both the source (for example, English) and the target (for example, German) documents are fed into the software, which matches the two versions of the text, segment by segment, and stores it into a translation memory (TM). The next time our client presents a document for translation, that text is analyzed against the TM; the result is a breakdown of new text for translation, full matches against the TM and incomplete or fuzzy matches. |
