We believe that native-speaker competence is required for excellent translation. Therefore, our translators work only into the languages in which they were raised and educated. We begin with carefully selected professional translator linguists who are:

bilingual
bicultural
specialists in the type of translations we assign to them and
fully qualified in compliance with EN 15038

Teamwork improves the product. Just as every published document has been subjected to editing, every document that leaves our office has been thoroughly edited and proofread by a second professional linguist. This is an important distinction because editing is not simply counting paragraphs. The editor checks linguistic integrity and polishes the writing. For some specialized topics, a mono-lingual proofreader may also be employed. Final quality control steps follow.

We discovered at the beginning of the process that many of the requirements were already fulfilled by procedures we have had in place for years. There is a carefully constructed best-practice procedure for every stage of every translation. This enables us to track project flow from work orders, invoices, e-mail, and drafts so the process is repeatable, verifiable, and auditable.
