Tembua® has been Your Language Concierge® since 1993!
Interpreting is the spoken equivalent of translation.  Although usage of the terms is beginning to change, professional linguists are still divided into separate fields that require very different skill sets (though some rare individuals do work well in both areas).
Translators handle the written word and are researchers and writers.
Interpreters work with the spoken word and must be spontaneous, very focused, and quick to change directions.
The Interpreting Services division of Tembua®: The Precision Language SolutionSM helps companies connect with limited English proficiency (LEP) clients and staff in order to conduct training more easily, satisfy medical compliance issues, conduct depositions and hearings, and extend their global reach.
Of course, all Tembua® interpreters work under strict confidentiality agreements at call centers, hospitals, medical clinics, law firms, pharmacies, courts, conferences, social services and government agencies.

ON-SITE INTERPRETING SERVICES
Nonverbal communication makes up a large portion of language. To ensure complete comprehension, on-site interpreters are used.
Simultaneous interpreting
One person speaks. At the same time, one or more interpreters repeat what is being said in their own languages with only a small delay. Many people may listen to different languages, possibly through headphones. Simultaneous interpreters are highly skilled professionals and are in demand.
Simultaneous interpreters may sit in a soundproof booth and interpret in real time. Conference interpreting is often done this way.
Consecutive interpreting
One person speaks and then pauses. One or many people listen while the interpreter repeats in the target language what has been said.

Consecutive interpreting is used for business meetings, training sessions, tours, seminars, judicial proceedings, depositions, medical appointments, etc.
