Glossary Development
Tembua®: The Precision Language SolutionSM seeks to provide clear communication across cultures and languages. One way we do this is by developing specific glossaries for each client.
If time permits at the start of a client relationship:
Tembua® requests common terms or gathers source documents from our new client so that we can find the terms that regularly occur in writing coming from that client.
We translate those frequently occurring segments.
This may be done into only one language or into multiple languages.
We circulate these translations among the native speakers within that client.
When these translations have been approved, we can begin work with a generally accepted vocabulary.
Whether for glossary approval or for client review following translation, Tembua® asks that the same reviewers be used each time. While there are obviously wrong translations, there may be several accurate translations for the same text and different reviewers may have different preferences.
